Cecile Baird

Cecile Baird was born in London, to a Franco-Martinique mother Frederique and Scottish father, David. She went to the Lycee Francais Charles de Gaulles where she began her career as an actress at the age of 8, by acting at the Toulouse Mime Festival.

At the age of eleven, Cecile had a brief stint at Ravenscourt Theatre School where she appeared in numerous television commercials, for the likes of Kelloggs, British Airways, and Kinder for Europe.  After six months, she returned to the lycee, where she was discovered to play the lead ‘Molly’ in the television series ‘Molly’.

Cecile then took a break from acting, to pursue her eduction, and university, and embarked on a career in production, working for Mike Figgis, at Red Mullet.   There she re-discovered her passion for acting, and studied acting. This is her first year, back as an adult actress. She has already appeared in one commercial, and a video-art installation based in New York. As well as acting for the stage in a play written by Sam Snape, especially for Victoria Johnston and Cecile Baird.
