Since 2008   Collaborating with the electro-musician Schieres: composing fast dance electro-tracks for Pop Poisoned Poetry and for Schieres together, Berlin/Hamburg

Since 2008   Collaborating with the Video-artist Videopath (aka Patrick Munck): making visuals for Pop Poisoned Poetry-shows, Berlin

Since 2004   Collaborating with the electro-acustic musician Anaphie: composing tracks for Pop Poisoned Poetry
and making film-music for other sideprojects. From 2004-2009 composing around 25 tracks together in Berlin.
During the years Pop Poisoned Poetry´s sound developes from the early sound-scapes into a much more melodic electronica / electro-sound with singing.

POP POISONED POETRY is a audio-visual show performed by the danish singer and writer Miss Tigra, accompained by electronic music and video cut ups.

The music is created in various singular collaborations between Miss Tigra and the electro-musicians Anaphie, T.Raumschmiere, Schieres and Shrubbn!!. All musicians have a similar musical background and are represented on the Berlin record-label Shitkatapult.

The live-performance goes along with visuals, made by Patrick Munck, which support and underline Miss Tigras choreography and song-text. From time to time the different POP POISONED POETRY-musicians interact live with Miss Tigra in the show and at this night in Volapük, the musician Schieres will be her special guest.

POP POISONED POETRY acts between the context of music, literature and performance and widens the borders of a traditional club-act.

The german press called Miss Tigra „A multi-talented predator“ – but be sure: the will of this electrified cat is good - she is here to move your mind with her visions and rock your body with her beats!

 

I rammen af Volapüks vårfestival opfører den danske sangerinde, performer og poet Miss Tigra sit show Pop Poisoned Poetry:

Special guest: Schieres

Miss Tigra knurrer sig ind i en melodisk fortælling. Et knastørt sound loop stiger i intensitet under Tigressens kløer. Hendes skygge kastes liggende på lur på filmlærredet. Der visses kontrastfyldte billeder i flyvende veksel. Det ene øjeblik driver rovkatten et dystert spil, i næste stykke springer hun over i ironisk melankoli med et glimt i øjet.

Hvem er denne kvinde i tigerpels? Engang levede hun som en lille grå mus i København, til hun en dag slog ind på en anden vej og landede i et vanvittig kvarter af rovdyrpelse. Muses hæmninger opløses og en ny personlighed er født. ”Fra nu af skal du være Miss Tigra!”, forkynder en vis mand den forvandlede. Hun forlader sin hule på Vesterbro, flår skindet af sin farveløse elsker og stryger til Berlin. I dette revir lader hun lysterne få frit løb: sang, dans og sex. For hankatte sidder kun og hyler under vinduet, Miss Tigra hun springer ind.

Indenfor konspirerer hun med forskellige Berliner-kunstnere, som den råhårede Burroughs-køter T.Raumschmiere, elektro-punken Schieres, den hemmelighedsfulde Anaphie og billed-skrædderen Patrick Munck. Tilsammen illustrerer de Pop Poisoned Poetry: en rutsjebane af elektroniske beats, vild sang, farverige videoanimationer og fredfyldte øjeblikke af poetisk retorik.

Katten agerer som medie for libidinøse øjeblikke imellem sfærerne. Eller hun advarer med sin sang og fortonede lyrik imod døden forårsaget af kedsomhed. Performeren Tigra skal bruge mindst 7 liv til denne mission: ”I en verden med så mange regler vil jeg i det mindste ha total frihed i kunsten.” Growls!
