WIND WITH THE GONE
EL VIENTO SE LLEVO LO QUE

Soledad is one of few female taxi drivers in Bueno Aires in the 70's. Sick of the bad treatment she recieves from her pasengers and her boss, she drives south in a stolen cab. After an accident in Patagonia, she seeks help in the nearest village.

The village is situated out in the middle of nowhere, something which has isolated its inhabitants to the degree where their only contact with the outside world is the local cinema. Only old films are shown, films battered from being shown all around the world before ending up in this village. Reels have been jumbled up reslulting in scenes being sequenced in the wrong order, sometimes in the wrong film, and sometimes even upside down. This has given the villagers an illogical and manic view of the world.

Their movie hero is French actor Edgar Wexler, whose films are even more chaotic than usual, and of course gets standing ovations every night. After several years of mystical fan letters from this village, the retired Wexler leaves Paris to meet his fans.
